Make a donation While Intermed is a non-for-profit organization and strives to practice good stewardship in recovering costs by charging course fees, donations to the Intermed program are always welcome and can provide opportunities to expand the program, especially in obtaining some of the resources needed to operate the program. Donations made directly to Intermed are not allowable tax deductions for Australian taxpayers. For details of how to make a donation to Intermed please Contact Us
The Intermed Scholarship Project of HealthServe Australia
The Intermed Scholarship Project is an approved Overseas Aid project of
HealthServe Australia that provides funds to cover part of the cost of
the Summer School and/or the 2 week overseas practicum, for Intermed
Summer School participants coming from, or going to, AusAID approved
countries.
Donations made to HealthServe Australia designated for the Intermed
Scholarship Project are fully tax-deductible. HealthServe Australia will
deduct an administrative fee (currently 25% but expected to be reduced
once HealthServe Australia has government recognition for the Overseas
Aid Gift Deduction Scheme) and forward the balance of the donation to
the Intermed Scholarship Fund account.
During each Summer School, applications for Scholarships are considered
by the Intermed Committee.
Scholarships meeting all the criteria of the Intermed Scholarship
Project will be funded from the Scholarship Fund with full
accountability to HealthServe Australia.
To make a donation go to the HealthServe Australia website,

HealthServe Australia (www.healthserve.org.au
) was established in 2004 by the Christian Medical and Dental Fellowship
of Australia with the aims of: following
Jesus Christ's example of compassion and healing towards suffering and
disease; embracing his concerns for the needs of the whole person;
providing free membership for all Christians involved in health care;
using a tax deductible fund called "HealthServe Australia Overseas Aid
Fund"; and with the purpose of complementing rather than competing with
similar aid groups.
The Vision of HealthServe Australia is to: assist
needy persons in developing countries with health needs; organize and
coordinate health related ventures with overseas partners; act as a
broker or advisor in procuring personnel, equipment and supplies for
overseas ministries and provide opportunity for medical and dental
students to do overseas electives.
